Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution - National Surveys 2016


Family arguments and disagreements are normal but if left unresolved they can have a devastating impact on health, well-being and life chances. In 2014-2015, 5,000 Scottish young people (the equivalent of five high schools) presented as homeless due to family relationship breakdown.

Cyrenians’ Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution (SCCR) is Scotland’s first national resource promoting and supporting best practice in mediation, conflict resolution and early intervention. Their work is dedicated to helping young people, parents and professionals better understand and manage family conflict.

Their 2016 National Survey has been designed to get input from young people, parents/carers and those working with families. They appreciate that discussing family life is not always easy, but in completing this survey and sharing your views, you will be helping them develop resources to support your needs and those of other families in Scotland.
