CPAG in Scotland

Do you have staff members who regularly deal with clients, then this is an opportunity to get some up to date information on Benefits and Tax Credits.

Child Poverty Action Group in Scotland are offering an opportunity for a staff member to come along to give a short talk about our advice line and how we can help front line workers. We operate a second tier advice line that any worker can phone to ask about a person’s entitlement to welfare benefits and tax credits. As we’re a second tier advice line we would be specifically looking to talk to groups of workers, not the general public unfortunately, and so something like a seminar or a conference would be ideal for us. We may also be interested in taking a stall at a local conference.

We’re not just looking to speak to advice workers either – we want to reach out to anyone who deals with clients who may have to field questions about benefits and tax credits. This can include care workers,  support workers, family nurses, health visitors, and so on. We can also give a short talk about recent and upcoming changes to benefits that workers should be aware of, or just come and have a chat at a staff meeting if that’s what people want.
