Fife Rights Forum is the partnership organisation for Fife's advice and rights groups. Responsible for co-ordinating the strategic development of advice, rights and financial inclusion work in Fife, Fife Rights Forum strives to support the delivery of high quality advice, rights and financial inclusion services to the people of Fife by: Promoting co-operation, information-sharing and joint-working across the sector ; Sharing and promoting good practice in advice provision ; Supporting the design, delivery and review of advice, rights and financial inclusion services ; Liaising with other partnerships and networks to promote integrated, quality service delivery ; Encouraging community involvement and engagement through effective client/agency interactions.

Fife Rights Forum has more than 300 members and holds quarterly meetings to network, exchange information and discuss topical issues within the advice, rights and financial inclusion sector. Fife Health and Social Care Partnership has launched a new online self-assessment called ‘Smart Life in Fife’.

The tool will ask you a number of questions about your health and daily living. The results will enable people to access advice, services, recommendations or simply purchase daily living solutions such as bathing and kitchen equipment or rails.

These vital services can make everyday activities easier and enable people to live more independently at home for longer.

Scotland's First Green Football Club

Newly crowned SPFL League 2 winners, East Fife Football Club is to become Scotland's first green football club.


Fife Council is encouraging all agents and applicants to submit their planning applications on the new portal, launched on 13 January 2016.  The Council is a partner in the programme, which is refreshing the ePlanning service across Scotland. The new portal replaces the current ePlanning portal  that was introduced in 2009 and provides a facility for submitting planning applications to any Scottish Planning Authority.
  CR Smith Manufacturing said its plant investment, totalling five machines, will make its Cowdenbeath factory “one of the most advanced in the country” and will reduce window production times “from days to minutes”
